- Apparently, a Republican media group (with ties to Exxon Mobil) decides that producing a deliberately "low-tech" satire of Al Gore's Global Warming documentary, and posting it on YouTube will actually fool people? What they HAVE done is smear the Republican party's good name on environmentalism. What a pity.
- Pat Robertson "converts" himself into a "far-left environmentalist" by saying that he believes the evidence about global climate change. I love the fact that some ridiculous label like "far-left environmentalism" has to come up: there can be NO people that care about the environment, that are anything less than far, far, far left (nutcases). In order to keep his evangelical cred after dropping this bomb though, he was careful to proclaim that the apocalypse is still on the horizon, what with that middle east conflict and all (whew!). I was going to put a Pat Robertson picture on my blog to go with this news item, but I probably would have just succeeded in creeping myself out.
- I still can't believe that Exxon Mobil and the slick republican media agency at the heart of this video has such a corrupt view on this issue. How could they possible justify deceitfully publishing a fake grassroots YouTube video on global-warming? BTW, Satire is only real satire when its a) funny and b) true. This passes neither test.
